Began with loud critical voice!

Naming the week “Final Sprint” did not really change anything for the better.
The first two days went by without any action.
The main culprit was sleep.
On Sunday, I could not sleep well, so I woke up very late on Monday morning. Then, because I was sleep-deprived, I slept longer on Monday night and again woke up late on Tuesday.
The Opportunity I Had
On both Monday and Tuesday, I came home comparatively early—around 9:00 PM.
I could have spent an hour in the gym.
But hunger played a part.
During my last brainstorming session, I had decided to take control of my diet. In practice, that plan failed, mainly because I was waking up late and could not prepare my meals as planned.
Thankfully, my mother stepped in and supported me with food. She gave me just enough to manage my hunger pangs at odd hours.
As a result, I was comparatively less affected by evening hunger on both Monday and Tuesday.
So I could have worked out.
But I did not.
I can list many reasons, but the truth is simple: I had an opportunity, and I did not take it.
Today: A Holiday Met With Doubt
Yesterday, I went to sleep having decided that I would work out today.
I woke up ready to go, but missing the previous two days had created doubt in my mind.
Should I go? Should I not go? Let it be. I still have time. Maybe I don’t deserve it. Maybe I’m not disciplined enough.
The critical voice had emerged and started nagging me.
But my preparation helped.
I shut down the debate and decided to take action.
I got ready and reached the ground-floor parking.
What Actually Removed My Doubt?
I saw another lady walking towards the gym.
And strangely, that removed my doubt.
She was not particularly fit. She was clearly there because she was working on herself.
And I realised something.
Seeing extremely fit people in the gym often creates self-doubt in me. But when I see people who are overweight, older, or in their late fifties working out beside me, I feel inspired.
I think: If they can work on themselves, I still have time. I must do it too.
This may sound strange, but I am simply noting what actually happens in my mind.
Perhaps I don’t need to see the finished product.
Sometimes, I need to see someone else doing the work.
Landed in the Gym
And then the usual pattern repeated itself.
As my own data keeps showing me, once I actually reach the gym, I complete the workout.
The real battle is getting there.
Today’s workout was actually on the higher end in terms of intensity.
It was Shoulder Day.
And I did well.
